Christ in lone on Saturday,
Sept. 3, to celebrate the
wedding of Debbie Anne Rios,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
.Robert Heideman, to Virgil
Lloyd Morgan, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Morgan, all of
lone. The Rev. William Gra
ham officiated at the double
ring ceremony.
The bride's gown was de
signed of candlelight ivory
satin organza, featuring prin
cess style bodice and long
fitted sleeves enhanced with
jpearled cluny lace. The
appliqued skirt flounced into a
cathedral length train with
small mantilla fingertip veil
edged in cluny lace complet
ing the bridal outfit.
The bride wore a family
heirloom cameo brooch neck
lace belonging to her grand
mother, Mrs. Vera Woody of
Connell, Wash., and carried a
nosegay bouquet of burgundy
and pink roses accented with
ivory baby's breath and bur
gundy ribbon.
The bride's attendents in
cluded her sister Mrs. Loa
Stevens, Tacoma, Wash, ma
tron of honor; Mrs. Bonnie
Ball, sister of the groom, and
Mrs. Delia Heideman of
Garfield, Wash, and Mrs.
Tonya Heideman of lone,
sisters-in-law of the bride,
acted as bridesmaids. Each
wore an evening gown of
burgundy velvet and pink
satin with a gold locket
engraved with pink roses, a
gift from the bride.
Best man was Joe Halver
son, while Dana Heideman,

groom, served cake at the
reception, with Mrs. Elizabeth
Tucker, Spokane, aunt of the
bride, serving punch and Mrs.
Gladys Drake, lone, aunt of
the groom, serving coffee.

Grand Squares host annual dance
The American Legion Hall
in Heppner was the festive
scene for the annual Christ
mas Dance of the Grand
Squares on Friday, Dec. 16, at
8 p.m.
The Rocket ' Squares of
Pendleton' joined the, 'local
square dancing club in prome
nading to the Grand Squares'
callers Darrel , Wilson, Ron
Davis and Don Wood. ..

grooms's cake and wheat bags
at the reception were La
Dawna Davidson and Krista
Paavola, nieces of the groom.
Mrs. Doug Drake, Heppner,
played the organ and pianist
was Mrs. Bill Rietmann of
lone. Soloist was matron of
honor and sister of the bride
Mrs. Loa Stevens.
Grandmothers of the bride
attending were Mrs. A.H.
Heideman, Spokane, and Mrs.
Vera Woody, Connell. Earl
Morgan, lone, and Mrs. Mat
tie Morgan, Canyonville,
grandparents of the groom
were also present.
After a trip to the Oregon
coast, the newly wed couple
are making their home in
lone.
mas decorations and a tree
provided a backdrop for the
lively affair.
A gift exchange of "a pound
of something" was accompa
nied by a grand march around
the tree. Gifts ranged from
pinto beans to Elmers glue.
In addition to other refresh
ments, homemade ice cream
was provided by George and
Lorene Griffith and Lloyd and
Shirley McNary.
