At last Saturday's Artifactory in Heppner it was like a
living dream of what might be under the Christmas tree.
More guests than ever attended the biggest show ever to
see homemade gifts for boys and girls of all ages.

Tie monkey tree
A monkey tree and a huge pile of stuffed animals and dolls
were the tempting offerings by this Artifactory toymaker.

Ready to dance
Handcrafted wooden puppets provide a dangling curtain for their creator as he displays a myriad
of sturdy toys hand-crafted out of wood. The "Wooden Goodies" table was one of the first
encountered by a very large Artifactory crowd last Saturday.
Doorprize winners
The co-chairmen for this
year's Artifactory, Liz Curtis
and Vicki Tollefson, were
pleased with the response the
event brought from exhibitors
and from the public.
They announce the following
winners of donated prizes:
The AAUW patchwork pillow,
donated by Theta Lowe, was
won by Judy Gochnauer ; a toy
wooden van donated by Mar
tha Doherty went to Marion
McMillan and a hand-painted
China slipper donated by
Mary Nikander was won by
Linda Lee Breidenbach.
An antique tole-painted soup
cup, donated by the Lexington
tole painters, went to Nancy
Myers; the patchwork pillow
donated by Ruth McCabe was
won by Jerry Samples and the
toy wooden fish donated by
Gordon and Roselene Keown
went to Gina Fraser; a plate
of cookies given by the Sans
Souci Rebekah Lodge went to
Billie Doherty.
The above winners have
their prizes; however, the
three winners listed below
need to pick up their at the
Methodist Parsonage soon.
Joan McDaniel will have a
stained-glass star and 'angel
donated by Rick and Liz
Curtis; Wilma Maria tt will
get a round green candle
donated by Roberta Klaus,
and Judy Handbury was the
lucky winner of a macrame
angel and a decoupage picture
donated by Francine and Jan
Evans.

In the afternoon, caroling by the Heppner High School swing choir, under the direction of music
instructor John Dawson enhanced the Christmas spirit of the Artifactory crowd.
