Howard and Jeanne Burch
and their daughters Belinda
and Jennifer have been in
Kinzua the last couple weeks
visiting with Jeanne's mother,
Virginia Kelso. The Burchs,
who have been living in
Athens, Greece, are now
spending some time in Hot
Springs, Arkansas with How
ard's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
W.L. Burch. Virginia is enjoy
ing the company of her gran
daughters while their parents
are gone.
Billie Joe and Patsy Mc
Minn and daughters Sheri and
Brenda finished their move
from Kinzua this weekend and
are now at their new residence
' in Heppner.
Whitney and Torry Sitton
were in Kinzua this weekend
staying at the home of their
grandparents, Jack and Vir
ginia Sitton. The girls parents,
Dave and Barbara Sitton,
were in Pendleton to take care
of some business and see
Dave's sister and brother-in-law,
Rita and Rob Roy.
Hershel Murdock was the
The Dalles Friday for medical
attention.
A Thanksgiving visitor at
the home of Vic and Marti
Wallis and Nina Castle was
Ruth Arthur from Bonners
Ferry, Idaho. Also with the
Wallis' and Nina for the
holiday were Nina's sister and
family, Gary and Pat Riley
and daughter Sharon Hetzel
from Seattle. Friday Nina and
her mother, Mrs. Arthur, went
to Bend to where they picked
up Lonnie Collins. Lonnie had
been in St. Charles Hospital
recovering from his recent car
accident. Lonnie is looking
very good if you can overlook
the hardware he is wearing. I
understand he is in line for a
new job as a TV antenna.
Hope he is able to shed that
most uncomfortable looking
brace soon.
Shirley Peterson, Peri and
Mark, Hermiston, and Tweed
Shaffer, Anchorage, Alaska,
were guests at the Raymond
Reid home Saturday and
Sunday.
Glen Parsons, Charlie Stin
son and two friends, all from
Springfield, are guests of the
Hershel Murdocks at Camp
Five.' They are in this area to
take part in the antlerless elk
archery hunt.
The Double Deck Card Club
met Friday evening at the
home of Virginia Sitton. Mel
Bailey was the high winner for
the evening. Hallie Spivey was
second high winner. Vi Slin
kard and Hallie Spivey won
pinochles.
Other members present
were Bonnie Campbell, Deena
Reid, Roberta Conlee, Betty
Sadler and Virginia.
The Kinzua TOPS Club are
inviting all in the Kinzua
Camp Five area who are
interested in helping them
selves to a new slimmer
figuere and a healthier future
to join them at Jeffmore Hall
in Kinzua any Monday eve
ning between 6:30 and 7 p.m.
The weekly weigh-in is held
during that half hour. It is
followed by the business
meeting and various pro
grams to help members in
their fight to overcome obesity.
