be held Dec. 22nd at 10:00 a.m.

The junior class of lone High
School will hold a bake sale on
Dec. 20th.
Remember the Christmas
program held at the cafeteria
on Dec. 21st starting at 7:30
p.m. School will be dismissed
at 1 :30 p.m. on Dec. 23rd, and
will resume on January 3rd,
1977.
The United Church of Christ
Christmas Sunday School pro
gram will be held Dec. 19th at
5:00 p.m. Participating in the
program are children from
nursery through the 6th grade.
This will be followed by a
potluck dinner after which
members of the church will go
caroling around town.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lind
strom returned last week from
a trip to Virginia, where they
spent Thanksgiving with their
son, Stephen Lindstrom.

nursing home at the Pioneer
Memorial Hospital last Friday
afternoon,- Dec. 10th. They
provided gifts and refresh
ments for the members.
The CWA of the Willows
Grange will hold their Dec.
meeting and Christmas party
on Dec. 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the
grange hall. Everyone is to
bring candy or cookies for
refreshments.
Later that evening, the
Grange will hold a potluck
dinner at 6:30 p.m. with the
Grange furnishing the turkey.
At 8:00 p.m., there will be a
program and Santa Claus,
which will be followed by the
Grange meeting.
The lone Cardinal Club will
be decorating the school
Christmas tree, Thursday,
Dec. 16th, at 7:30 p.m. The
Christmas candy will be
sacked Monday, Dec. 20th, at
7:30 p.m. Both of these events
will take place in the school
cafeteria. Anyone interested
in helping is welcome. Dona
tions for the Christmas candy
are appreciated, and dona
tions may be made at the
Bank of Eastern Oregon or
Bristow's Market.
Beta Omega Sorority met at
the home of lit Ernst for the
Dec. business meeting. Beta
Omca will hold a Christmas
raffle this month; tickets will
be sold on a 27 inch doll with
several handmade outfits and
a set of walkie-talkies. The
tickets are six for $1.00 or 25
