The EMTs hope to take an
EMT II course which would
involve further training. "If
such a course comes around
within oriving distance," says
- Skoubo, "then we'll sure take
it." There is a county van
,' available for more extensive
' rescue type use but it lacks
; equipment other than some
' oxygen tanks, ,-esuscitalors
and a few hammers.
"Eventually." said Skoubo,
"we hop to have enough
equipment to do a better job."
Since an ambulance driver
may be required to carry a
first aid card, three firemen
will be Uking a multi-media
first aid course Dec. 2 and 9 at
Riverside High School.
Though the ambulance serv
ice is completely separate
from the fire department, it
will be housed in the same
building. Two firemen have
already taken the EMT course
and three more are Uking it
this year.
Many of the resident EMTi
are employed by Gourmet
Foods. Others include a high
school teacher, a deputy, two
registered nurses and Skou
bo's wife Carolya and daugh
ter Linda.

Skoubo said. "Especially liv
ing on this highway like this.
We really have needed it for
