Blodgett, 60, Philo math, OR, died Nov. 2, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Corvallis, after a lengthy ill ness. She was born July 14, 1916 in Heppner, the daughter of Joseph and Nellie Mahon. She moved from Heppner to Al bany in 1947. On May 2, 1947, she was married to Rodney Blodgett in Albany. They moved to Philo math in 1954. In the 1960s, she owned and operated the Wood shed Restaurant near Oregon State University. Funeral services were held Nov. 5 at DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home with Chaplain Hugh Harris officiating. Inter ment followed at Blodgett Cemetery. She is survived by her widower, Rodney; two sons, Donald Hottman, Canby, and Tom Hottman, Clackamas; two daughters. Donna Dow, Oregon City, and Betty Schwahn, Princeton, ME; her mother, Nellie Mahon, Hep pner; three sisters, Colleen Helget, Lebanon, Celia Matte son and Hanna OU, both Heppner; a brother, Jack Mahon, Joseph, OR; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Annie M. Young Annie M. Young passed away November 5 at St. Mary Community Hospital, Walla Walla, WA, after a long ill ness. She had been a resident for a year and a half of Camlu lone news Hear & Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tigus (nee: Tanya Tucker) are the proud parents of a boy born November 1st, at Palouse. WA. The young man weighed 84 lbs., and has been named Robert Douglas. Grandpar ents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tigus, St. John, WA, and Mr. Eldon Tucker, lone. Great grandparents are Mrs. Gladys Drake, lone, and Mrs. Archie Padberg, Heppner. 7 Eldon Tucker and daughter, Tamie, spent several days last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tigus, getting acquainted with the new baby. A bridal pantry shower was held at the American Legion Hall, November 3rd, at 8:00 p.m. for Nancy Wade, bride-to-be of Peter McEUigott. Helping Nancy open the gifts were her mother, Mrs. Joan Wade, and Jeri McEUigott. Fall decorations were used on the tea table, and serving punch was RosetU Palme , teer, and pouring coffee was ; Rose Baker. Nancy invited all those attending to her wedding at 3:00 p.m. on November 27th at the United Church of Christ in Condon. The shower was given by the St. Williams Alur Society. Mr. and Mrs. Errett Hum mell of Aloha, and Mr. and Mrs. Winnie Cammann of Cornelious, spent week visiting Mr. and Mrs. John Eubanks at their mountain cabin, and also getting in some elk hunting. Mrs. Irene Swanson of Heppner joined them for couple of days to visit with the Hummells. Mr. Hummed is former lone school principal. Word has been received that Mr. John Swanson and family have been transferred from Edmonton, Canada, to Red ding, CA. John works for Crawford l Co. Ins. Ad justers, and has been In Canada for the last seven years. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drake, and Cathy, spent Saturday evening and Sunday visiting Mrs. Lena Paine at Cascade Lucks. Mrs. Roy Lindstrom re turned home Sunday after spending several days in Portland, and then on Friday going to Tacnma to visit her daughter. Mrs. Young was born Jan uary 27, 1891, in Denver, CO, to Charles Watson Tullis and Hattie Belle Darrah. She graduated from the Pendleton Academy. She played piano for the silent movies and vaudeville in Pendleton. In 1910, she married Charles E. Heard, Sr., who died in 1918. She attended the University of Chicago conservatory of music in 1919 and 1920. She taught piano for many years in Pendleton and later in Milton-Freewater. In 1922, she married Thom as Young and they operated drug stores in Pendleton, Walla Walla, Medford, Grants Pass and Rockaway. Mr. Young died in 1952. A daugh ter, Peggy Rogers, and a son, Samuel Young, preceded her in death. Survivors are a son, Charles E. Heard, Jr., Milton-Freewater; three granddaughters, five grandsons, nine great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Christian Science Church and the Freewater Garden Club. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., November 15, at St. James Episcopal Church in Milton-Freewater with the Rev. Dirk Rinehart officiating. Those who wish may con tribute to the Annie Young Memorial Musical Scholar ship, in care of Jack Williams, Mac Hi, Milton-Freewater. Mrs. Keith Peck, Brian and Natalie, of Portland, and Mr. Arthur Crawford of Livings ton, MT, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Morgan. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Petty john, Sr., returned from a 10 day trip to San Diego, where Mr. Pettyjohn attended a National Oil Jobbers Conven tion. On the way down, they stopped and visited Mr. and Mrs.- Raymond Lundell at Eugene. Leaving San Diego, they drove up through Sun City, and the Palm Springs area. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Francis Stack at Eugene on their way home. Terry Taylor, Alan Roberts, Dave Tucker, Perry and Gerry Gaustad spent several days last week camping at Underwood. WA. Several new families have moved into the apartment house. They are Mr. and Mrs. John Belknap and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clark and family. Gollyhorn, 40, 5443 N.E. Elier St., Salem, died Monday morning of cancer. Gollyhorn was born in Ontario, OR, and moved to Salem in 1960 from lone, OR. He was a welder for Stevens Equipment Co., until ill health forced him to quit. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Four Corners Rod and Gun Club, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors are his widow Patricia, Salem; daughter Debora McBee, Salem; sons Ron McBee, Michael Golly horn, Wayne Gollyhorn, Jr., all of Salem; father, William Gollyhorn, Irrigon; and moth er, Doris Gollyhorn, lone. Interment will be at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery, Friday, November 12, be tween 1-2 p.m. A. Raymond Reld Arthur Raymond Reid, 59, Albuquerque, NM, died Oct. 31. He was born in Heppner, Mar. 9, 1917, the son of Arthur and May Matteson Reid. He grew up in the area and at tended the local schools. He was married to Delsie Bleakman, Nov. 11, 1938, at Stayton, OR. They lived in the local area until 1951, when they moved to Eugene, later going to Bend. Mr. Reid was a millwright and saw filer, and worked at mills in Eastern and Central Oregon for thirty years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1371 at Bend. In 1968, they moved to Albuquerque, fiM, where he owned and operated the San dia Saw Shop. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Tabor Funeral Home, Bend, with the Rev. Donald M. Beake offici ating. Concluding services and interment were at Pilot Butte Cemetery, Bend, OR. Casket bearers were Larry Foster, Howard Metcalf, Ole Larson, Sonny Joanis, Kant Case and Ray Spurlock. Mr. Reid is survived by his widow, Delsie, Albuquerque; two sons, Jerry D. Reid. Albuquerque, and Randall R. Reid, Bend; a daughter, Ber nadine J. Mobley. Portland; and three grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Lung Association or to the charity of your choice. Gertrude Parker Gertrude Parker, 96, died in Heppner Thursday, Nov. 4. She was born Sept. 28, 1880. at Waitesburg, WA. the daugh ter of Jasper and Elizabeth Dunlap Crawford, and had been a resident of the com munity since 1901. Mrs. Parker was a member of the First Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Ruth-Locust Chapter 32. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Edwin Sikes and the Rev. Charles Knox of ficiating. Crystal Knox sang. "I Know Whom I Have Be lieved." accompanied by Bet ty Marquardt at the organ. Graveside services were conducted by Ruth Locust Chapter 32 of O E.S.
