Attendance
equals
last year
The Morrow County Fair
got off to a cold, slow start as
far as attendance was con
cerned but by Friday, had
snapped out of the daze and
was back in full bloom.
The gate Tuesday produced
attendance numbers almost
half of those on opening day,
last year. But the weather
was rotten Tuesday.
On Wednesday, partial
clouds kept it cool but the
gate receipts started to warm.
Wednesday nights storm did
n't do much damage at the
fairgrounds, other than a few
mussed heads of hair during
the style revue.
After that blow out, the
weather went hot and the
attendance did too. At the end
of fair week, Liz Curtis,
secretary said the number
was up to around 8000. right
about where it was last year.
Exhibits were up in open
class by 150, the biggest jump
in the last several years.
