Buscke
William L. (Bill) Buschke,
76 of Glide, Oregon was killed
in a tractor accident near
Glide, July 5.
He was born August 7, 1889
in Rufus, Oregon, son of Ben
and Lena Buschke.
He was married October 10,
1946 at Stevenson, WA to
Eileen Johnson. He was a
member of the Lutheran
Church and a life member of
the Eugene Elks Lodge. He
was a resident of the Glide
area since 1956.
Survivors include his wife,
Eileen, Glide, OR; two bro
thers, Claude of Heppner;
Fred of Gresham; four sist
ers, Mary Travis, Westport,
WA, Martha Carr, Salem, OR ;
Millie Evans, Heppner, OR,
and Grace Kari of Seaside,
OR; nephews Delmar Busch
ke, Don Evans, Heppner; and
niece Joyce Ward, Heppner
and other numerous nieces
t and nephews.
Funeral services were held
Thursday, July 8, 1976 at Long
and Shukle Memorial Chapel,

Obituaries
Roseburg with Pastor L.K.
Zank of St. Paul's Lutheran
Church, Roseburg officiating.
Private interment was held in
the Wimberly Cemetery at
Glide.
Those attending the services
from Heppner were Mrs.
Millie Evans, Mr. and Mrs.
Claude Buschke, Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Ward, Delmar Buschke
and Mrs. Grace Buschke.
Medlock
Steven F. Medlock, 27,
Spray, died Sunday morning
at St. Charles Medical Center,
Bend, of injuries received
Saturday afternoon at the
Condon Rodeo.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the
Winlock Cemetery, Spray.
Rev. Allan Gordinier, mini
ster of the Spray Assembly of
God Church officiated.
Mr. Medlock was born April
24, 1949 at Prairie City, the son
of Milo and Aloha Medlock. He

attended schools in Spray,
graduating from high school
in 1967.
He was a veteran of
Vietnam and a member of the
American Legion.
Survivors include his wife
Diane, 2 daughters, Roberta
Lynn and Suzanna Marie; his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milo
Medlock, all of Spray; and a
brother, Bob, of Milwaukie.

cers. Newly elected officers

burn President, Pastor of the
Heppner Church of the Naza
rene; Rev. Duane Geyer, Sec.
Treas., Pastor of the Assem
bly of God.
School

meeting
July 19
The Morrow County School
District Board will hold their
regular monthly meeting July
19, at 9 p.m. at lone High
School.
Prior to the regular meeting
the board and budget commu
te will meet at 8 p.m. to
consider whether or not to use
some carryover money saved
from the past years; budget
and come unexpected receipts
from basic school support to
restore essential items that
had been cut from the building
program.
Cuts had been made be
cause building bids had ex
ceeded the amount of money
made available by the bond
issue. In regular business, the
board will consider a job
description for teachers, con
tracts for teaching staff and
hiring of classified personnel.
Bids will be considered for
bulk gasoline, diesel, anti
freeze, fuel oil, bus service,
one contract bus run, and
windows at Heppner Elemen
tary. The board will consider a
request to purchase a tempo
rary easement for placing dirt
from a sewer excavation on
school property in Boardman.
