More than 100 of the top
collegiate cowboys and cow
girls from throughout the
Pacific Northwest will be in
Pendleton May 28, 29 and 30 to
compete in the Northwest Re
gional Rodeo Finals.
To be staged at the Mustan
ger Grounds just east of
Pendleton, the rodeo has
attracted Bob Chambers, one
of the world's top rodeo
announcers and a native of
Pendleton, and some of the top
stock from three Northwest
rodeo stock contractors.
Competitors from 18 col
leges and universities in
Oregon, Washington and Ida
ho will compete in six men's
events and three women's
events in this, the final
National Intercollegiate Ro
deo Association meet prior to
the national finals.
"The whole season is going
to be wrapped up in the rodeo
here in Pendleton," Longgood
said. "With such outstanding
cowboys, cowgirls, stock, and
Bob Chambers, it should be a
whale of a show," Longgood
added.

trophy.
Roeser and Patterson are
also still in the running for the
calf roping and steer wrestling
