Last year some of our customers
enjoyed a 5-10 bushel per acre
Increase with early spraying of
Bronate over a late spraying of
24-D.
Bronate can be sprayed early
while the weeds and grain are
small. The grain only needs to have
3-4 leaves. Early spraying Is the
one that helps. Bronate can be
sprayed in colder weather (any
weather that your nozzles don't
freeze).
Every day you delay In spraying
your weeds, Is costing you money.
Kill them while they are small.
Act now, give us a call, 422-7254.
We have a good stock of Bronate,
Buctril, 24-D, and other chemicals.

The 1976-77 operating bud
get for the Blue Mountain
Community College was ap
proved by the college Board of
Education following a public
hearing. No opposition was
voiced at the hearing held on
the college campus.
The budget now goes to a
vote April 20 in Umatilla and
Morrow counlies. The college
has no tax base, requiring
annual elections to assure
operating funds for the two
year institution.
Termed "a good, hold-the-line
budget" by Ben Holdman.
Pendleton, chairman of the
budget committee, the docu
ment calls for a total expendi
ture of $3,079,381. an increase
of $373,500 over current figure.
President Ron Daniels des
cribed the budget as tight,
adding it reflects unavoidable
increases in social security
payments, electricity, natural
gas. insurance, road mainte
nance and cost-of-living sal
ary increases.
Directors of the Willow
Creek Country Club will hold a
meeting Wednesday. March 31
at Columbia Basin Electric at
7:30 p.m.
The activity committee will
soon have the calendar of
events ready for the year. This
will include special events
that will be of interest to both
men and women golfers.
Dates and times for men's
Sunday and evening play w ill
be decided at this week's
meeting of the local play
committee. The newly painted benches
help to brighten up the course.
The work was completed
recenllv bv Jan Bietel. lone
and the club members w ish to
thank all the businesses that
made it possible.
Annual spring clean-up day
has been set for April 10 under
Ihe direction of the grounds
and building committee. This
committee is headed up by
Lowell Gribble and Harold
Kerr. All members are urged
to help clean the course during
the morning and enjoy a noon
lunch before playing an after
noon round of golf.
Heppner High School golfers
opened the season last Friday
at Pendleton in a losing effort.
There has been a large turnout
of young golfers and their
efforts will undoubtedly pay
off in later tournaments.
