the Grand National Livestock

Saturday, (Xt 25 Fifteen
Junior and community col
leges from six states compet
ed in the contest.
Seventy-five contestants
from as far away as Oklaho
ma competed in the contest,
the largest ever held at the
Cow Palace.
BMCC was the only north
west team to place in any of
the four livestock divisions.
One team member, John
Mathwick of Athena, tied fur
third high individual in beef
judging.
Other team members were
Susan Bennett and Doug
Bennett, both Hermiston: Ken
Peterson, LaGrande and Deb
bie Williams, Helix.

Zielinski put the Pirates on the
board when he ran the ball 15
yards into the end zone. In the
final quarter the Scots added 2
more TDs to put the game on
ice, Cahill scored on a 4 yard
run and Beamer connected to
Beers on a 31 yard pass play.

outs. They were against Con

This was the first win in six
years for the ponies against
Pilot Hock.
The scores of the teams
were: Stanfield 14, Ponies 24;

Ponies 14. Umatilla 20, Ponies
22; Condon 0, Ponies 12; and
Riverside 0, Ponies 28.
Coach Gorman said, "We
had a fine year and with good

Hearing Tests Set For I

Free electronic hearing tests will j
be given at the Beltone hearing Air j
service center, on Friday, 12-3 p.m. j
Factory-trained hearing aid spe- 1
cialists will be at the motel listed 1
below to perform the tests.
Anyone who has trouble hearing or
understanding is welcome to have a
test using the latest electronic
equipment to determine his or her
particular loss. Diagrams showing J
how the ear works and some of the
causes of hearing loss will be I
available. Everyone should have a
hearing test at least once a year if
there is any trouble at all hearing i
clearly. Even people now wearing a j
hearing aid or those who have been I
told nothing could be done for them
should have a hearing test and find
out about the latest methods of
hearing correction.
The free hearing tests will be given i
at Northwestern Motel Friday. If you I
can't get there on Friday, call
676-9167, and arrange for an appoint- I
