It seems that last Tuesday a
young fellow strayed onto the
golf course at the beginning of
ladies play and was asked to
join the group. It turned out to
be John Edmundson and he
played well enough to tie with
Edie Skow for low gross.
There was also another tie
between Lois Hunt and Cindy
Kerr for least putts. Cindy
Kerr was a two time winner,
winning long drive.
There was some good golf
played during the Sunday
morning men's play with C.C.
Carmichael taking two of the
honors. He had a 65 for low
gross and also the KP on No. 9.
Harry McCaully powered out
the long drive on No. 6 and a 55
for Ed Struthers took low net
honors. Gary Hunt had the
least puts with 26 and played a
sizzling 29 on the back nine.
This Sunday the Willow
Creek golfers will visit at the
McNary course. Both men and
women's play is scheduled
with tee time at 9 a.m.
Tuesday of this week saw
the conclusion of organized
women's play for this season.
Only five ladies participated
for a new event that played
like poker.
