Senior girls, mothers
to be luncheon guests
Each spring the Soroptimist
Club arranges a luncheon in
honor of the girl graduates of
Heppner High and their moth
ers. This year's luncheon will
be Thursday noon. April 17 in
Ihe recreation hall of St.
Patrick's Catholic Church.
Evelyn Sweek. club vice
president, has arranged the
program which will feature a
talk bv Gene Ann McLean.
Heppner AAUW elects
officers for 75-76
Some 20 members and
guests heard Pauline Bier tell
of her experiences growing up
as the daughler of a Mission
ary m Peru and showed
momenloes of those years.
The occasion was the April
nieciing of the Heppner
Branch of Ihe American
nciation of Unhersity Wo
men held in Ihe home of Linda
Johnson in Heppner.
Mrs Bier talked about Ihe
cultures of the people and
about how her family lived,
incidents and Irips which she
remembered. Among her col
lection are beautiful llama
and Alpaca rugs, pottery
ptt e from ancienl ruins and
name arts.
