This was the first Kilkenny had played since the opening of the season. How come? Within the past weeks of the basketball season under way, readers have complained that the Gazette-Times has not published the scores of games, especially the junior varsity games. The Gazette-Times has telephoned the various schools In Morrow County in an effort to enlist their cooperation in calling in the scores of their games, but we have not been able to find anyone at the schools willing to assume this responsibility. It is impossible for our small staff to attend all the games played in the county; thus our only source of information is the schools. We cannot and will not rely upon accounts published in other newspapers. We again urge the schools in the county to cooperate in reporting results of their athletic contests, as well as other school activities. Our readers want this news, we want the news. And if we are willing to devote the space to such items, cannot someone at each school make himself available to provide us with the news? Perhaps the coach, assistant coach, a member of the team or a student proficient in reporting game statistics could be persuaded to report direct to the Gazette-Times. If so. it would be appreciated by all our readers. During the weeks to come, if you do not see the results of your school's games in the Gazette-Times, at least you will know that we have tried to bring this important news to you.
