The last three and one-half minutes of the game had the fans on their feet cheering as the score changed from a Mustang lead to one point for Condon with each basket made !n the last eight swmids of the game, with the Blue Devils leading 51-50. the Mustangs took the game when Ditve McLachlan put one throuuh the hoop A foul committed by the Mustangs gave the Blue Devils the ball, although the final buzzer had sounded. As he threw the ball in the direction of the Mustangs goal he was fouled by a Condon player McClain was swamped by the fans, and as the referees tried to clear the court he tossed the ball at the hoop to end the game, as both teams had already left the court. The Blue Devils were able to steal the ball from the Mustangs and were also getting the rebounds. As the third period of play ended the Blue Devils led 37-32. In the final period the Mustangs revived and after six turnovers they gained the lead With three minutes left in the game Condon reversed the turnovers and managed to take the lead from the Mustangs. Then came the climax of the game with the Mustangs winning their first league game of the season. 52-51 Scoring for the Mustangs were Dave McLachlan with 17 points. Ken Eckman 11.
