The Camp Five Womens
Club held a card party at the
Camp Five Community Hall
Saturday evening, with Val
entines Day as the theme.
Highs were won by Sue
Mattison and Don Hardwick,
lows by Erma Ralston and
Steve Conlee. Pinochles were
won by Rose Hardwick and
Sandy Williamson. The door
prize was won by Guy Van
Arsdale. Hostesses Carol Nor
ris and Sandy Williamson
served sandwiches and finger
foods to these present.
Neither snow, mud nor flu
stopped the Wheeler County
Archers from holding their
planned Fun Heart Shoot on
Feb. 17 at the Kinzua course.
A "getback in practice," get
'acquainted potluck was en
joyed by visitors and mem
bers after the round was over.
Top honors went to the
following: youth, Darrel Mc
Caffery; peewee boys, Doug
McMasters; peewee girls,
Lisa McMasters; women, '
Virgina Sitton; men, Phil
McClure. Red Heart shots
went to Sue McClure for
women and Les McMasters
for the men. This meant an
arrow in a one-inch heart and
it had to be the first arrow,
from whatever yardage shot
from. There will be lots of
practicing from now on, and
everyone is invited to partici
pate. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood
Canaan of Vancouver, Wn.,
are visiting their son, Marvin
Lucas, and family at Camp
Five.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Oyler
and son Don Leon of Bend
were weekend guests of Mrs.
Oylers parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Delbert Barzee. They also
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Don
Slinkard and Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Rice.
Mrs." Raymond Reid and
Mrs. Steve Conlee were busi
ness visitors in Heppner
Friday evening.

MISSIONETTES
HOLD MEETING
The Missionettes Rally of
the Blue Mountain Section was
held at the Assembly of God in
Irrigon, Feb. 22. The Mis
sionettes' director, Mrs. Alice
Frerichs of Hermiston, noted
an increase in attendance
since the Dec. 7 meeting of the
newly organized group for
girls of the Assembly
churches.
Special music included a
duet by two Missionettes from
Pendleton who sang "The
Carpenter." A group from
Hermiston sang "Walking
with the Savior"
Pastor Robert Schmoll
showed colored slides of his
trip to the Indian mission
churches of Arizona last fall.
