daughter Ellen Hughes Mar

at Linn-Hcnton Community Col
lege. Ellen works there as a
secretary. They will live in
Cnrvaliis.

Farm Youth Exchangee from
South Australia, interested in
rodeo mid wool, will arrive June
.'lin h for a two week visit with
the Jim W.-st family of lone.
The West family home is on
t'pper Hhea Creek where they
have many sheep. Mr. Howett is
twenty four years of age, has
been active in Rural Youth
Movement, rodeo and saddle
club in his homeland. He
intended the Marleston School
of Wool and has a Degree of
Wool Classing. His home is a
farm of HMO acres where they
have crops of Lucern. (alfalfa),
cereals, nil seeds, and sheep,
beef and dairy.
Prior lo his arrival here he
will visit in Corvallis, attend 4-H
Summer School, and spend
time with host families in
Scappoose and Culver.

A new water heater was
installed, sinks moved, work
lollies and additional refrigera
tion added. Refrigerators were
donated by Mr. and Mrs.
Everett Mai shman and Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Johnson. Probably
the most noticeable improve
ment was the paint job. The gals
it the group really made the
paint fly!
4-11 appreciates the efforts of
all nlunleers who contribute so
much lo the youth of Morrow
County. A special- word of
appreciation goes lo Merle
Cat. 'in. whose enthusiasm and
hard work made the recent
camp improvements possible.

MR. & MRS. tiENE PIERCE
and Molly have returned from a
trip lo Dallas. Texas and Tulsa,
Oklahoma where they visited
Mrs. Pierce's mother and other
relatives. They experienced lots
of rain and tornado warnings.
At one lime I hey had .71 of rain
in 15 minutes.
Mr. Pierce and Molly and the
"grandma" attended a baseball
game where the New York
Yankees beat out the Texas
Rangers. Gene said this was one
evening it didn't rain but it
thundered and lightninged.
