at the Masonic Hall on Sunday

Cassandra Chapel was ele
vated to the office of Worthy
Advisor of the Assembly by
installing officer, Cheryl Hams.
Other Installing officers intro
duced by Mrs. Lewis Halvorsen,
Mother Advisor, were: Mar
shal. Diane McLachlan of
Heppner. Grand Representa
tive to Kansas; Recorder,
Cathy Halvorsen; Chaplain,
Kathy Gilbert; and musician,
Linda frock.

Advisor is "Happiness is a
Rainbow", which decorated the
wall of the assembly room in
large letters in her chosen
colors of pink and burgundy.

The crowning ceremony was
performed by Cassandra's
mother, Mrs. (Visit Chapel,
assisted by the installing mar
shal and Cher I Hams, Junior
Past Worthy Advisor. During
this Tanya Tucker sang "Some
where Over the Rainbow",
accompanied by Linda I'rock.
All theofficers carried pink or
burgundy rose buds, made of
silk fabric, during the installa
tion. Programs were given out
by small friends Lori and Duane
Felsch, Noela and Dean Rill.
Mickey Hoskins was in charge
of the guest book; Karen
Crowell and Anne Hoskins look
; care of the corsages. Frank
Engleman presented a gift to
the new Worthy Advisor from
her family.
Christina was honored with
an addendum on traveling with
the girls using large colored
paper butterflies, which they
presented to her. Butterflies
and the color lavender are the
symbol and color to be used by
the Grand Worthy Advisor at
Grand Assembly on June 21, 22
and 23 at Gill Coliseum in
Corvallis. Christina responded
with a short talk in which she
explained that during the year
she had corresponded wilh the
Grand Representative to Ore
gon, who resides in Satsum,
Ala. During Grand Assembly
each girl representing a state
will give a two minute speech on
her slate and Christina will tell
about Alabama. Worthy Advi
sor Cassandra gave Christina a
charm of the state of Alabama
as a gift from the Assembly.
An addendum was also given
