S WPW l( II STORE CLOSES
The Sandwich Store which
recently opened In Lexington
has been closed by the Oregon
State Board of Health. The
Store had never received a
restaurant license and didnt
comply with the requirements
in the way of rest rooms as well
as in minor ways. Mr. Wheaton
had gone to California and Mrs,
Wheaton wanted to join him so
didn't want to meet the re
quirements. The Lexington water supply is
short but when the new well is
completed there should be
sufficient water so that more
people may be served. At
present, they are not allowed to
add more users. They may
resort to area irrigating so that
the pressure may be maintain
ed. Mayor Gene Orwick said
"that shop was the best thing
that ever happened to Lexin
ton " He is hoping that someone
else will see the need and
re-open the store.
