Notice is hereby given that on

Special Council Meeting
A special Council meeting
was held Thursday evening to
consider two items of business.
The Coucil rejected a pro
posal by Willie Osterkomp and
R. H. Sievers to allow them to
lease the City's service station
building. It was felt the lease of
the property would not be in the
best interest of the city at this
time.
The second item of business
involved reading of an engineer
ing report on the water system.
According to the report there is
not sufficient water storage
facilities to supply service to
Ted Wilson's proposed Mobile
home Court under existing
Board of Health regulations.
The request for supplying water
to a proposed subdivision was
also included in the report only
to the extent that the Board of
Health storage and pumping
requirements made it unfeas
ible to consider at this time.
A move is under way to seek
financing to enlarge the present
water storage capacity and
provide a second well for
additional supply. Some addi
tional lines are necessary to
form a grid for health and fire
protection within the area
presently served. Mayor
Chester Wilson is initiating an
information program within the
community which will include
at least one public meeting on
the proposed improvement be
fore a bond election is set.
Additional requests for service
on the water system make the
program necessary.
