Progressive
Dinner for
Christmas

Lexington Grunge will meet
on Dec. 18 with a progressive
dinner as part of the Christmas
party. After the dinner there
will be a gift exchange and
slides of earlier parties and
programs of the Lexington
Grange presented by Dorris
Graves of Hardman. Homes to
be visited during the evening
will be announced later.

Holly Kebekah Lodge met at
the hall for their regular
meeting with the NG presiding.
Election of officers was held.
Klected were Mrs. A.F.
(Freida) Majeske as NG; Mrs.
Florence McMillan as VG ; Mrs.
C.CiDelpha) Jones as Sec. and
Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Robinson as
Treas; Mrs. Irene Padberg 3
year trustee. Mrs. Ada Eskel
son was issued a transfer to
Sunbeam in Hermiston and
Mrs. Maureen Davis was rein
stated from a withdrawal cer
tificate. Plans were further
discussed concerning the
initiation and Christmas Party.
The Party will start at 6:00 p.m.
on Dec. 22 with a turkey
potluck dinner and program
followed by an exchange of gifts
and treats. This is for members
and their families and invited
guests.
Card Party
The second in the series of
card parties was held on Sat.
night with 6 tables present.
Winning hi were: men, Richard
Peck, and low Kenneth Mar
shall, Women Hi, Ardith Hunt
and low Madge Bryant. The
next meeting will be Jan. 6th.
Mr. and Mrs. C.C.Jones
attended the installation of
Grange officers held at the
Willows Grange all in lone Sat.
A lovely potluck dinner follow
ed. The installing team was
present from Baker with Bob
Coble acting as installing
officer.
Mr. and Mrs. Norm Williams
spent the Thanksgiving holi
days with his parents Mr. and
Mrs. Cliff Williams.
Mrs. Bill B. Marquardt & Mrs
T.E. Messenger visited Penny
Marquardt in Portland over the
weekend.

Several members of the
Lexington Grange Women's
activity group met at the home
of Mrs. Norman Nelson, on Wed
and motored to Pasco, where
they were guests of the Health
Spa at Columbia Center. After
the tour the ladies enjoyed some
shopping and sight seeing of the
beautifully decorated shops,
and enjoyed a no hostess lunch
at Farrells before returning
home. Those attending were
Mrs. Wilbur Steagall, Mrs.
Florence mcMillan, Mrs. C.C.
Jones, Mrs. Alfred Nelson, Jr.
and Mrs. Norman Nelson, Mrs.
Wavel Wilkinson of Heppner

Jaycees
Progressive
Dinner
to be Held
Heppner Jaycees will have
their annual progressive dinner
this Saturday, Dec. 9 beginning
with cocktails at the Clyde
Allstott home at 7 p.m. The
appetizers will be served at
Archie Ball's, soup at Jerry
Holloman's, the main course at
the Legion Hall and on to the
Marv Gerkings for dessert. The
evening will be topped off with a
party and dance at the Legion
Hall. Gag gifts will be ex
changed. All Jaycees and their guests
are invited to attend. Also any
prospective Jaycee members
are most welcome.
