Mrs. Ball opened the meet
ing with the devotional

from Our Daily Bread. Roll

and new mmes drawn for the
next fiscal year.
Members voted to not have
a meeting in August. The
next meeting will be July
17 at the home of Mrs. Ball
at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Hayes and Mrs. Mar

mittee of Greenfield Grange
met at the home of Mrs. Chub
Warren Wednesday afternoon
of last week, starting with
luncheon at 12:30. Guests

GREENFIELD GRANGE
met Saturday night at the
hall, starting with potluck
supper. Mrs. Chub Warren
was hostess.
Guests were Fobert Hack,
master of Columbia Grange
at Hermiston, and Mrs. Hack.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Thorpe gave reports on the
session of Oregon State
Grange which they attended
at Beaverton all last week.
Thorpe brought back a Cita
tion of Merit certificate from
CAFE to present to the Wo
mtn's Activity Committee of
the grange for their contri
bution. The grange will not hold
a meeting in July, but will
join with the W.A.C. in their
picnic at the Thorpe home in
Hermiston, July 16 at 2 p.m.
The next meeting of the
grange will be Aug. 19 at
the hall at 8 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. ErnestOber
meier were called to Hills
boro Monday by the death of
Mrs. Obermeier's mother,
Albertine Lickess, who died
June 16 three days after her
94th birthday.
There were three tables of
pinochle in play at the card
party held Tuesday of last
week at the Greenfield Grange
hall, sponsored by the Wo
men's Activity Committee.

Zearl Gillespie is a well known renrea
rancher who raised dairy cows and tur
kyes and also worked for the Federal govern
ment. He is semi-retired from the City of
Boardman but is still busy there. Ed Kuhn
is a retired mechanic. Seth Fussell had
a service station which he opened in July
1929. Foy Ball is a retired farmer, opera
ting both at lone and Boardman. Walter
Hayes is a Morrow County Commissioner and
a former trucker and store owner at Board-man.

holding Daily Vacation Bible
School this summer as it has

days and be about one to

will consist of a Bible story,
missionary story, songs, me
mory verses, and play time.
Ages for the clubs will be
