A late afternoon ceremony
was chosen by Michelle Ann
Miller for her marriage to
Donald Guy Burns May 6
at St. Patricks Catholic
Church in Heppner. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Edwin Miller ofLexlng
ton and the groom is the son
of Mr. Thornton Maklnsonof
Baker.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a long
white dress of heavy white
lace over peau de sole, styl
ed in the traditional man
ner. The dress had long
sleeves, high collar, with a
fitted waist. The bodice of
the dress was encrusted with
seed pearls, and the skirt
flowed into a chapel length
train. She wore a finger
tip veil held by a seed-pearl
headpiece, and carriea a
nosegay of white daisies and
baby breath.

A Certificate of Recognition
for completing 10 years of
service with the Agricultural
Stabilization and Conserva
tion Service (ASCS) was pre
sented to Rose Marie Buschke
by Roy Martin, Chairman of
the ASC Committee for Mor
row County. The certificate
was accompanied by the USDA
10 year pin.

La Grande. Later taught
together In Ontario. She had
a first grade and I had a
second until Charlie and I
were married.

Tuesday and we bad a coke
visit. It was really won
derful to see her. She grew
up in llepimer and has lots
of relatives around so we
should get to see her again
next Memorial Day.

his picture.
On my way back I stop(ied
at Bill' s new Laundrymat to
get some pictures.
Got a picture of a woman
I didn't know putting clothes
in the washer. None other
than Mrs. Eric Johnson. They
have moved their mobile
home in on Elaine George's
lot for an Instant-home. A
good thing because they would
have had a struggle to find
something to live in here
in Hepjiner.

Steagall. Bridesmaids were
Jeannine Hunt, Lexington;
Mrs. Ron Cecil, Pendleton;
and Nancy Miller, sister of
the bride. The attendants
wore floor-length, lime gre
en yellow daisy print dress
es. They had empire waist
and long, ruffled sleeves.
Each carried a nosegay of
yellow daisies and baby
breath.
Best man was Burke 0'
Brien, Echo. Ushers were
Larry Geils, Baker; Monte
Evans, and Mark Miller, bro
ther of the bride.
Flower girl was Kristl Mil
ler, Pendleton, cousin of the
bride. Ring bearer was Ste
ven Miller brother of the
bride. Soloist was Mr. Joe
Doherty, Pilot Hock, accom
panied by Mrs. Paul Tews
lone.
A reception was held in the
Parish Hall in honor of the
William H. Padberg each re
ceived a certificate and a
USDA 10 year pin. These
are the first 10 year awards
to ever be earned by com
mitteemen in Morrow County.
No other county farmer, of
record, ever served that
many years as a committee
man and employee.
The Morrow County ASC
Committee, which Mr. Martin
is Chairman, congratulated
these people for their dedi
cation and service.

day. The boys from his
class played baseball and then
enjoyed a weiner roast.

cake, decorated with yellow
roses, was made by Mrs. Ro
bert Davidson, Lexington.

bride: Mrs. Milton Morgan,

Pendleton; Mrs. Harlan
Crawford, La Grande; and
Mrs. Delmer Crawford, Her
miston. Serving punch were Jeanne
Daly, Heppner, and Jeri Snow,
lone.

Portland, cousins of the
bride.
The bride chose a green
pantsuit with white accesor
ies for going away. After
a wedding trip to the coast,
the couple will be living in
Baker.
Both are graduates of
BMCC: Michelle this year,
Associate in Science and Sec
retarial Science, and Don,
1971, A.S. degree In Law
Enforcement and an AA de
gree this year In Liberal
Arts. Mr. Burns will work
for the U.S. Forest Service
in Baker this summer, and
will attend EOC in the fall.

5 to David Hall who was 22
years old. A student at
Oregon State, he took some
time off to attend to his du
ties as a state FFA offi
cer. He was elected presi
dent of the Oregon State
studentbody for his Junior
year and that same year he
was married.
His grandmother, Mrs.
C.F. Hall subscribed to the
Gazette-Times for Dave and
Nancy for Dave's birthday on
the Buddy special. With her
renewal she got the subscrip

The groom studied at Alma
College and the University of
Michigan and received both
his Bachelors degree and
Masters Degree from the la
ter. He is the son of Mrs.
Clarence Jacobs and the late
