found the German people
friendly. He says he doesn't
speak German fluently but he
can understand it pretty well.
In April he took a tour of
Switzerland, Austria and Italy.
He took a lot of pictures, visit
ed the U. N. Building In Gen
eva and went to Monaco.
He thinks things are high
here in the United States and
the one tihng he missed was a
good salad. They are hard to
find over there.

The Threaders 4-H Sewing
Club met at the home of Mrs,
Maxine Gray. We saw some
slides. All the girls have com
pleted their apron project. The
first year girls are now going
to make tote bags. The second
year girls are going to make
dresses.
We went to Case Furniture
and looked at fabrics. Mrs. Gray
told us what type of material
to use in our project.

Friday evening at the Gene
Fergusons. Guests were Virgin

Charlie Heards. After dinner,
they enjoyed seeing a colorful
slide tour of the "Delta Queen",
a famous river steamer.

The High Hopes 4-H Sewing
Club met Jan. 27 at the home
of our leader, Mrs. Darrell
James with Barbara Palmer pre
siding. Mrs. James distributed
the new record books and new
pamphlets. Kathy Gilbert and
Barbara gave a demonstration
on making hems. We then had
a film strip entitled "Figure
Flattery Through Optical Illus
ion". Refreshments were served
by Kathy and Barbara.
