Mrs. Clara Brown of Hermis
ton has announced the engage
ment and forthcoming marriage
of her daughter, Debbie McBath
to Michael R. Dunham, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dunham of
Hermiston.
The wedding is being plan
ned for Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. in
the West Park Baptist church
in Hermiston with a reception
to fellow. All friends and rela
tives are cordially invited to attend.
The bride-elect is a 1970
graduate of Hermiston Senior
high school and is presently
employed at Murray's Rexall
Drug. Her fiance attended Her
miston High School and Is em
ployed at a Heppner mill.

Olive Hughes Plans
Busy Calif. Winter
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Buffington
(nee Nora Hughes) were guests
of Mrs. Olive B. Hughes this
past week. Mrs. Buffington is
the sister of Mrs. Mary Healy
in the Pioneer Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hughes loft Heppner
Sunday to spend the winter in
southern California. One high
light of her stay, in addition
to the many activities she has
planned, is joining her six sis
ters ana one orotner tor a
Thanksgiving family gathering
in Long Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Hughes is the second
eldest of nine, eight of whom
are still living. This will be the
first time in 11 years the im
mediate family has been to
gether, along with Mrs. Hughes'
son, Joe. As a special treat,
they all plan a tour of the
Queen Mary.
Lee Candy, 28. son of Mr. and
Mrs. Dean Teal of La Grande,
was badly Injured recently in
Ontario. He was run over by
a gTavel truck and dragged 24
feet underneath the truck. He
lost a leg and suffered manv
other bad injuries.
