day. Richie Broadbent, eight year
old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken
neth Broadbent, was a patient
in the Good Shepherd Hospital
in Hermlston last week. Ho waa
taken to Portland Sunday for
further treatment.
Mrs. Arthur Allen has receiv
ed word that Mrs. Gold to Camp
bell, who has been In a rest
home In Baker, fell last week
and suffered a broken hip. She
Is in St. Elizabeth's Hospital In
Baker. Mrs. Campbell was a for
mer resident here some twenty
years ago.

earn enough money to take
their Morrow County group to
Denver in return.

aid civic group on community
projects. Annually they honor
all county 4-H leaders by plan
ning, preparing and serving a
banquet In their honor. Last
year they helped collect funds
for Red Cros and "came to
town" to assist In fl'd clean
up after the disastrous flood In
lleppner.
Empire Builder members are
always represented at 4 II camp
as counselors. They also do
things together Just for fun and
recreation.
All high school students at
county high schools are Invit
ed to Join the action crowd and
enroll as a 4-H Empire Build
