North Morrow Leaders Run Snack Shack

was a popular spot for refresh
ments, at the 4-H horse show
Sunday. North Morrow leaders
organized the project and work
ed there included: Gladys
Hobbs, Marge Shade, Lois Rich
ards, Mrs. LeRoy Proctor. 4-H
members assisting were, Pam
ela Schmeder, Peggy Brandt,
Vickie and Valerie Sullivan,
Greta LeBlanc, Mike Blunk, Da
vid, Karen and Robert Richards.

on their antique grand pianos,
when they met on Saturday at
Mrs. Denton's home. Mrs. rag
erstrom enjoyed playing Mrs.
Denton's piano, said to nave
been brought around Cape Horn
by ship, from Boston in 1849. It
is also said to have been the
first concert grand piano in Sac
ramento. Mrs. Fagerstrom, who
is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Chester
Wilson, has a Steinway Grand
at her home in Watsonville,
Calif., which was brought a
round Cape Horn in 1880 from
New York.

came off. Bill jumped out and
ran alongside as Ron hit the
brakes. One wheel grabbed and
the vehicle turned and climbed
the bank and tipped. As it tip
ped it knocked Bill to the
ground. He got a pavement burn
and skinned back from the
waist up and a dislocated el
bow. Ron was taken to the hospi
tal where he had face and skull
cuts which required 50 stitches
and 10 stitches for a cut on his
leg. He is hobbling around on
crutches but hopes to be able
to walk soon and get back to
work.
