I have had the ple.tsure of
visiting in Mr. J:"k Uiytl
classroom at wveral different
times. I definitely felt "his real
concern for the behavioral and
intellectual rrowth of "hit
kids." In fad. after my first
visit, when ! accompanied a
former teacher, Mr. David Ratts
of the World Book Company, I
declared I could certainly k-arn
a lot about teaching from Mr.
Loyd; and my friend Dave, who
visits hundreds of classrooms,
agreed and added, "Yes, he Is
unusual; ho Is a real teacher."
Recently, I have visited with
several intelligent lone area
parents about Mr. Loyd. Try?y
.'aid, "We are so glad our child
ren were In his class." Several
others pointed out, "He didn't
teach just to make money we
know he really wanted to help
children. Several lone High
School graduates ttated that he
was their best teacher.
Morrow County needs talent
ed, experienced teachers. My
husband Bill says that contin
ued school board performances
such as this can only lead to
the possible further degenera
tion of our schools.
Mr. Jack Loyd is far above
being an average teacher. He
has filled a big job for many
years and has discharged the
heavy responsibility honorably.
