Baker for Klml's birthday and
got In on all the excitement.

mother, Mrs. LIU Maddox of
Baker who Is 99 years old.

Velma Glass, former Morrow
County Health Nurse made a
short visit in the county recent
ly. Her many friends expressed
regret that her short visit didn't
allow time for them to see her.
She played golf on the Wil
low Creek course with Mr. and
Mrs. Oliver Cresswicks and Jim
Shields, all of Portland, who
formerly lived in Heppner.
Mrs. Glass, after her 8-10
years in Morrow County, went
back to school and got her Mas
ters at Ann Arbor. She Is now
working with the Medicare sec
tion of Blue Cross for the State
of Michigan.

The Morrow County Rodeo
Court has had several fun
things already this month. They
rode In the conaon parauo oe
fore a bigger crowd than usual.
They were handsome on their

went to the- Hootenanny In the
Park. Mr. and Mrs. Archlo Munk-
era enjoyed the music with
them. They were joined for the
fire works display by Queen
Sherrl Lynn O'Brien.
The three were joined by
rrineeas Jerl Krebs for the dance
later that evening.
Luncheon
The girls and their mothers
were entertained royally at a
luncheon last Thursday at
Boardman by members of the
Tllllcum Club whk-h sponsors
Princess Vivian Phillips. The
luncheon was hold on the lawn
at the home of Mrs. Rodney
Flug.
The mouth-watering menu In
cluded fried chicken, all kinds
of salads and the "piece de re
sistance" a beautifully decorat
ed cake. Appropriately it was
decorated with a brown horse's
head encircled with a horse
shoe of pink roses and Good
Luck Rodeo Court 1970!
Each girl was presented with
a daisy corsage tied with green.
Name tags were green auedo pa
per In the shape of a saddle.
Each girl was Introduced and
talked briefly
Mrs. Archie Munkers, court
chaperon, was also a guest at
the luncheon attended by 12
members of the Tllllcum Club.
Saturday Night Dance
This Saturday night is Prin
cess Vivian rhllllps Night and
the dance will be sponsored by
the Boardman Tllllcum Club.
Music will be by the Western
Gentlemen.

C. H. Dickerson of Sllverton
stopped In to buy a Gazette
Times this week. He and Mrs.
Dl"kerson had driven over that
morning Just to see Heppner a
gain. In our conversation, I
found out he was from Silver
ton and I asked him if he knew
the Chuck Leonards. Chuck
Leonard Is married to my niece
and they have a sporting goods
store at Sllverton. Mr. Dickerson
laughed. Chuck had grown up
with his sons and Chuck has
his store In the same location
who' Mr. Dickerson hud had
his confectionery for many
years. Wasn't that fun!

Maid of honor was a friend,
Diane Griffin. Her dress and
headpiece were aqua and she
carried a single carnation, tied
with an aqua ribbon. Her brides
maids were Barbara and Ann
Hasspr. sisters of the bridegroom.
Their dresses were of Jade blue
crepe with white nylon lace and
hi to satin hows. Their head
pieces were of white net with
blue bows. They eacn carried a
single carnation with blue ribbon.
The music was by Doris Pit-
zer.
The best man was Roger
Jackson and ushers wert Clar
ence Proctor and David Franke,
all of Irrigon. The canaieiignt
ers were altar boys, and the
flower eirl was Joan Gasser, sis
ter of the groom.
The bride's mother wore a
yellow voile printed dress. The

Crepe dress with white accessor
ies. At the reception Mrs. Gasser
