The third meeting of the
Nimble Thimble Stitchers 4-H
Club was held Dec. 17 at the
home of our leader, Judy
Wright.
Under new business we dis
cussed money making projects.
We had demonstrations con
cerning facings and inter-facings
then the second year girls
finished their laundry bags and
the fourth year girls sewed on
their practice projects.
Refreshments were served by
Cathy Palmer and we were pre
sented Christmas treats by Mrs.
Wright.
Our next meeting Is Jan. 14.

Gather for Birthday
Celebration
The Peck home ranch at Lex
ington was the scene of a large
family gathering recently to
honor Mrs. Myra Peck on her
87th birthday.
Present for the riinnor were
four of Mrs. Peck's sons, Mr. and
Mrs. Bud Peck and family and
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peck, all
of Heppner, Mr. and Mrs. Don
Peck and family of Pilot Rock
and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peck
of Stanfleld, and one daughter,
Mrs. Millard Nolan and Mr. No
lan of Heppner. Three grand
sons and their families, I.yle
Peck, Vern Nolan, and Ron
Peck, also attended the dinner.
The family presented Mrs.
Peck with a tree lamp and the
afternoon was spent in visiting
and playing bingo.
