Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bird, were
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wham, Mr.
and Mrs. Darral Bird, and Mr.
and Mrs. Allen Nistad. The Birds
had lived at Kinzua for many
years, and upon retirement they
moved to Prineville to make
their home. The open house was
held at the home cf Mr. and
Mrs. Stuart Turner.
Mrs. Jack Smiley and Mrs.
Truman Smiley and son Eric
were business visitors to The
Dalles and Hood River last
Monday.
Mrs. Louis Lorengel and child
ren Linda and Ldee went to
Portland Monday morning. Lin
da had been home for the week
end. The regular meeting and
Christmas party of the Camp 5
womens uub was held last
Wednesday at the Camp 5 Com
munity Hall. Hostesses were
Dolores Wimer, Betty Murdock,
and Terry Todd. Thirteen mem
bers were present. One new
member is Marybeth Chitty with
Norma Judd attending as a
guest. Mrs. Murdock reported
that nine members had helped
on Operation Sweet Tooth. Sec
ret pals were revealed and new
ones drawn for 1970. An audit
committee was appointed as fol

White, Dolores Wimer, and Bet
ty Murdock. Inventory commit

Party was held Saturday eve
ning at the Camp 5 Community
Hall, sponsored by the Camp 5
womens ciud. Thirteen tables
of pinochle were in play. High
scores went to Kenneth Todd
and Betty Murdock. Low went
to wayland Hyatt and Marybeth
Chitty. Pinochles went to Ron
Saddler and Betty Benson. Gifts
were exchanged after which ice
cream and cake were served.
The winner of the silver tea
service was drawn with Dod
warier or fossil holding the
winning ticket.
The Annual Chirstmas pro
gram of the Kinzua Community
Church will be Sunday evening,
Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. The evening's
program will feature the differ
ent classes of the Sunday School
louowed by the presentation of
a contata "Love Transcendine"
by the Kinzua Community
