They saw an Individual film
strip movie. The film on any
subject is encased in a rewind
ing packet. The student selects
his topic, slides the packet into
the slot and sits back and looks.
The picture shown that evening
went from frog eggs to the adult
frog. Absolutely wonderful.
Another amazing tool was
that one used in speed reading.
Onlv one line at a time was
shown on the screen with
"blobs" of light revealing the
line in two stops. This machine
can be set for many levels of
reading speed.

class will present "Twelve Ang

The mystery surrounds a 19
year-old boy who is accused of
stabbing his father. There is
question of reasonable doubt
whether he really did It or not.
The Jurors have to decide his
fate.
The cast includes Jerl Snow,
Carley Bergstrom, Kris Peterson,
Gene Hunter, Trudy Moore, San
di Carlson, Brock Linnell, Peter
McElligott, Ron Christopherson,
Clint Krebs, Marianne Petty
John, Kathy Holtz, Victor Kling

The program, a repeat by the
request of members, was on
poisonous plants from the book
"Deadly Harvest" by John King
sbury. Many common plants In
the garden and home have parts
that are poisonous so actually
people are warned not to eat
or rub on their skin plants that
are unknown to them. Eating
or working with the plants may
result in skin Irritation or gastro
intestinal disturbances. Many of
these same plants are life sav
lng when processed for medical
use. If an illness Is caused by
some plant, shrub or pit, a phys
iclan should be called immedi
ately.
Briefly: the liquid from the
poinsettia is poisonous, the
leaves from the rhubarb, the
outercoverlng of nuts, apricot
seeds, castor bean seeds, to
name a few.
The 16 members responded to
roll call with the where, when
and how to plant their chosen
flower of the year. Mrs. Fred
Martin was appointed treasurer
to fill the unexpired term of
Mrs. Omar Rietmann. Mrs. Har
old Huber was appointed Gar
den Club Cook Book chairman.
The group is selling two books
on desserts and casseroles which
are compiled from recipes of
garden club members all over
the United States. Mrs. Kenneth
Klinger, is chairman of the flor
al stationery sale.
The group gave a bulb and
plant shower for Mrs. Emcrt in
her new home. The next meet
ing will be an all-day "Make
It For Christmas" workshop no
Dec. 10. All members are to In
vite a guest.
