The Youth "Sing Out" for
November will be at the West
Highland Baptist Church, In Her
miston, on Nov. 25. This is a
cooperative meeting among the
churches of the area. Everyone
is welcome.

a son born Nov. 11, at the Good
Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston.
He has been named Mark Alan
and Joins a brother and a sis

her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F.
Coy in Irrigon. Paternal grand
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Fitzgerald of Bowling Green. Mo.
Sgt. Fitzgerald is stationed with
the Air Force in the Philippines.
Parents were given a special
invitation to visit the A. C. Hou
ghton Elementary School, by
Principal Mick Tolar. Classes
were arranged on Nov. 12 and 13
so parents could observe the
same subject being taught at
different grade levels. Mr. To
lar stressed the fact that parents
are welcome at any time.
The PTA met Thursday at 3:30
when classes were dismissed.

membership drive and Christmas
treats. Mrs. Gladys Hobbs and

the City Council. He reviewed
operational and record keeping
procedures to be carried on in
connection with the completed
water system, which was financ
ed largely by this Federal Agen
cy. It was noted that only 30 of
the required 51 water users had
availed themselves of the serv
ice and It was stressed that this
number was not able to produce
sufficient Income to meet month
ly bonded debt requirements.
