Last Tuesday, cool morning
weather must have kept some
lu at home, probably with the
i furnace on, not willing to tal;e
a chance on a few tfoose bumps
i on the jtolf course. Truly, Ral.s,
It was a beautiful morning, you
should have braved It. The "Tee-
i Cup" writer was hostess for the
day. Helen Schamu won the

on two days, eitner aturnay ana
Monday, or Sunday and Monday.
The Kinzua Golf Club noes to
ereat length to assure everyone
i good time. This is a safe way
to spend the Labor Day week
end off the main highway:
so why not give It a whirl and
have a real Rood time? Get your
entry blanks and send them in
early for a fun, three-day golt
inu holiday at Kinzua.
Sorry the results of the McNary
visit is practically old news, but
there was no room in the ua-
zette-Times for the Tee-Cup last
week.
A barbecue will be held Sat
urday evening. August lb. at me
Willow Creek Country Club. A to
L brines dessert, and M to Z,
salad. Golfers who are not com
ing to these barbecues don't
know the fun you are missing.
Where else in Heppner can you
have a fun time with your fav
orite sport, have a nice dinner
and a lot of good conversation
with friends for just bringing
one prepared saiaa or aessen
and your own meat? There
won't be many more barbecues
held, as summer is on the wane,
so give it a try and see what
fun it is. Golfing will start any
time you want to get there, with
dinner afterward. See you over
the coals at the barbecue pit.
