land April 16. 1911, the son of
Itoyal and Louise Rands. He
came to Board man with his par
ents as a small child where he
has lived since. He attended lo
cal schools, and was a former
mayor, councilman and Justice
of the pence In Buardman. In
late years he was a farmer. He
was a World War II veteran and
a member of Tuscan Lodge 13t.

The annual reunion of the
Tatone family was held over the
week-end at the Dodge City Inn
with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tatone
as hosts. There were about 52
present They included Tatone's
mother, Mrs. D. Tatone or Ar
lington, his brothers and sisters
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Ta
tone and grandson Troy, of Spo
kane, Wash., Mr. and Mrs
Steve Tatone and daughter of
Portland; his brothers-in-law and
sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hast
ings and seven sons of West
Linn, Mr. and Mrs. Don Pfen
ning: and Mr. and Mrs. O. Stutz
man of Portland, and Mrs. James
Flynn of Lake Oswego. Others
included Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Tatone, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ives
and two children, Cherl Tatone
and her fiance, Gary Bursell,

A golf putting tournament was
held on the Tatone's private
green Saturday for adults and
Sunday for the children. Troph
ies were presented by the Ta
tone's. Robert Tatone was win
ner of the men's trophy, and
Mrs. O. Stutzman the women's.
Gary Ives won the children's
trophy.
The Waist Away Tops Club
held a picnic Tuesday evening
of last week at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Seehafer.

Bill Wheelhouse is at Conifer

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Henderson
and three sons of McMinnville
were overnight visitors at the
home of Mrs. Henderson's uncle
and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Wyss, last week on their way
to Harrington, Wash.
Annie Obermeler, who was a
student at Multnomah School of
the Bible in Portland last year,
spent several days at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Obermeler, last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Bishop
went to Echo one day last week
to visit at the home of Bishop's
brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Ronald Bishop, and to
visit the men's sister-in-law, Mrs.
Ralph Bishop, there from Ridge
way, Colo.
Mrs. Pete Peterson, son Larry,
and daughter Lorrie, and Jana
Everett of Irrigon were in Port
land last Friday evening to at
tend the wedding reception for
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rover. Mrs.
Rover is the former Mardee
Childers, former resident here.
Mrs. O. A. Childers of Libby,
Mont., was an overnight visitor
at the Peterson home Friday.

Glen Carpenter.
The monthly hostess list was
chosen to be the same as last
year. Mrs. Roy Ball, president,
asked members to bring ideas
for the district spring conven
tion next year which the Board
man club will host.
Mrs. Ball read "Vacation
Sanctuary", and Mrs. Arthur Al
len read an article on humming
birds, "Hummers, North and
South."
Mrs. Ball received the door
prize.
The club will go to Pendleton
to the home of Mrs. Charles An
deregg for their August 18 meet
ing. ;
Rev. George Neeley took Dale
Lindell and Marlon McKenzie
to Camp Pinecroft in northern
Idaho. The boys were to be there
a week. Mr. and Mrs. Everett
Struckmeier took a group to
Camp Morrow near Wamic.

and Becky Ziemer and Kenneth
Parrish, the latter of Hermlston.
