The Kinzua Traveling Golfers
enjoyed a day of Rolf at the
new Condon course on Sunday,
August 4. The Condon members

daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Bird.
On their return trip they at
tended the' wedding of Steven

at their homo In Corvallls and
at their beach house In Walil
port. Arnold Ebert grew up In
Echo, and .was County Agent In
Fossil and Heppner for several
years before going to corvallls.
The David Beal family reeent-
v purchased the Donald Lclgn
ton place on Pelton Road where
the Lelghtons nouse was des
troyed by fire a year ago. They
will be moving their Mobile
home to the new location soon.
For more than a year the Beals
have been located In Bienhauers
Riverside Trailer Court In the
eastern part of town.
Radio man Michael McCoy has
completed his 30-day leave and
returned to the Naval Base at
San Diego, Calif. He visited his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. warren
McCov here and also visited his
uncles. Mac and Chase McCoy
and their families in the Los
Angeles area.
McCoy has been stationed at
Yokasuka, Japan. During this
time he was on two special mis
sions to set up communication
centers In Thailand and Viet
nam. He spent five weeks on
this last assignment. He has
now been assigned to the air
craft carrier, Iwo Jima, which is
a carrier accommodating heli
copters.
The Assembly of God church
plans a Vacation Bible School
for August 12 through 16, for
ages 4 through YI. Older young
people are invited to help with
hand work projects. Pastor John
Kenney will be in charge of the
opening service. He and Mrs.
Kenney will be telling of their
missionary experiences in India
and Hawaii where they spent
many years as missionaries.
The Rev. Oliver Laidlaw of
San Gabriel, Calif., spoke at the
evening service of the Assem
bly of God. Mr. and Mrs. Laid
law were euests of Pastor and
Mrs. Kenney who are friends of
many years standing. The Lald-
aws were returning from a va
cation trip in Canada.
Mrs. Verdie Isom took a group
of young people on a picnic to
Hat Rock Park recently. They
were members and friends of
the Assembly of God high, Sun
day School class. Those going
were, Lonnie Wilson, Linda
Hinkley, Donna Pummel, Bruce
and Wayne Buchanan.
Mr. and Mrs. Benney McCoy
and Mrs. Ruth McCoy traveled
