They were married May 8, 191H.
In Canyon 1 Hy, and spent their
entire married life as residents
of Grant county, living on a
ranch In the Courlrock area un
til they moved to Monument
when they retired.
The anniversary celebration
was arranged by their son and
daughter-in-law, Melvln and
Kunlce Round, also Mr. Lottie
Koss and Steve and LaVclle
Holmes.
The Monument Legion-Grange
hall was decorated in tradition
al gold and white, with a love
Iv anniversary cake topped with
golden bell and golden wed din,;
rings centering the lace-covered
table. Individual tables and the
gift table were covered with
white cloths and centered with
gold mats and bouquets. Other
golden floral decorations were
placed around the room.
Over 100 iricmis and relatives
from the surrounding areas
signed the Ruest book.
Mrs. Ruth Dudley of Walla
Walla spent a week here visit
ing relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Murry McKenzle
of Portland were overnight
guests at the Ed Round home.
A birthday party was held
May 7 in honor of Brenda Gien
ger, 6-year-old daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Lester Gienger, at the
home ot Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie
Gienger.
A surprise birthday party was
given for Freda Tubbs at her
home.
Lilburn Hunt had an accident
while falling tree for Harold
Lipnert. A tree fell on him and
broke his right leg, and was
rushed to the John Day hospi
tal where he spent two day.
Marv Lou Cross of Prlnevllle
was visiting friend in the area
for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kenton
of Portland were here recently
to lMk after their property.
Sunday visitor at the Dale
Hunt home were Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Wheeler, Kita Hlnton and
daughter Dianne and Mr. and
Mrs. Lilburn Hunt and children.
Mr. and Mrs. Kred McWlilla,

daughter Sally were recent
guests at the home of , Freda

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hudson
and three children drove to John
Pay to attend the wedding of
her sister, Miss Sharon Lily.
Dick Williams suffered burns
to his right arm recently when
his lawn mower blew some gas
on him while testing it and
caught fire from a spark and
burned his arm and lingers. He
was rushed to John Day for
medical aid.
