cellaneous shower last Thursday
night at the home of Mrs. La
Vern Partlow. There were 27
present The committee in
charge was Mrs. Steve Partlow,
Mrs. Dennis Gronqulst, Mrs.
Frank Bates, Linda Tatone,
Kathy Hinton and Ella Sutton.
In games played, prizes were
won by Mrs. Leo Root and Lor
rle Peterson. Denlse Henkle re
ceived the door prize.
Mrs. Bob Sicard entertained
with a surprise party at her
home last Thursday afternoon in
honor of the 13th birthday of
her niece, Patsy Skoubo. Guests
included Mr. and Mrs. George
Sicard. Mr. and Mrs. Gunnar
Skoubo, Bob Sicard, Debbie Hug,
Susan Ball, Diane Rash, Casey
Kuhn, Kenneth and Peggy Si
card, and Kathy and Linda
Skoubo.
The Pins and Needles 4-H
sewing club has been divided
into two working groups with
Mrs. Stan Henkle as their lead
er. Each srroup will meet on al
ternate Wednesdays. This was
done so Mrs. Henkle could give
more individual assistance to
members. Two new members of
the club are Marlon and Tarn
ara McKenzie. It was voted for
an alternate to take the place
of absent officers at meetings.
Steve Hilling was chosen as the
alternate. Mrs. Henkle showed
and discussed various types of
cotton fabrics.
Mrs. Arthur Allen was host
ess for the Boardman Garden
Club Monday night of last week
at her home. Flans were maae
for the annual family dinner to
be held February 12 in the even-
ins. The Dlace will be announc
ed later. Mrs. Walter Hayes and
Mrs. Hazel Miller were appoint
ed to select the place. Mrs. Roy
Ball, Sr. and Mrs. Glen Carpen
ter will be in charge of the pro
gram. A letter was read suggesting
Dlans for a memorial to Sam
Boardman, founder of the town.
Mrs. Ed Kuhn received tne
door prize. The next meeting
will be at the home of Mrs.
Ralph Earwood February 19.
There were four tables of pi
nochle in play last Tuesday at
the card party at the grange
hall, sponsored by the Home Ec
onomics Club of Greenfield
Grange. High prize was won by
Mrs. Ruth Stevenson, and low
went to Mrs. Bernard Donovan.

Minnich won the pinochle priz
es. Mrs. Leonard Bedord was
hostess.
The Junior Greenfield Grange
and their matron, Mrs. John
Phillips, sponsored a movie,
"Curse of the Werewolf", at the
grange hall Friday evening at
7 p.m.
