meeting was the appointment
by Mrs. Wright of Mrs. Percy
Cecil and Mrs. John Graves as
a nominating committee.
Next meeting will be Friday,
November 17, and will again be
a no-host luncheon. New offi
cers will be installed at that
time.

were in Hood River over the
week-end to attend the 25th
wedding anniversary celebration
of Nash's niece and her hus
band, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pe
terson. A potluck dinner was

sil. The double ring service, read
by Rev, Edwin Derrick assisted
by Rev, Robert Dove, was per
formed at the altar lighted on

baskets of yellow, green, and
white chrysanthemums.
The bride, escorted to the al
tar by her father, wore an Em
pire style gown of white satin
with fitted sleeves of lace end

attached chapel train was also
of the white lace. Her shoulder
length illusion veil was held In
Dlace bv a starched lace flower
whose petals were outlined In
seed pearls and crystals. She
carried a shower arrangement of
yellow roses, white baby orch
ids and stephanotis. As she and
her father approached the altar,
she stopped at the first pew to
give her mother a rose from her
bouquet.
Serving as matron of honor
was Mrs. Danniei Boil oi Klnzua
with Miss Sally Schroeder of
Omak as her sisters maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Kenneth Miller and Miss Alli
son McRae of Portland, and Mrs.
Rick Shaffer of Pendleton. Miss
Connie Schroeder of Omak was
junior bridesmaid. Flower girl
was Sherri McMinn of Kmzua.
All the attendants wore lden
tical floor length gowns of olive
green satin with matching shoes
and white gloves. Their head
veils were of green net held with
a green rose. They carried now
er balls of yelliw roses and
green net.
Lighting the candles before
the ceremony were Miss vicki
Wham of Kinzua, cousin of the
bride, and Miss Babara Ostran
der of Anderson, Calif., niece of
the groom. Both wore yellow

Rainbow Girls Plan
Halloween Dance
Rainbow Girls have scheduled
a Halloween Dance and Basket
Social for 6 to 10 p.m. on Hal
loween night, October 31, In the
Episcopal parish hall.
Anyone who wishes to attend
may get tickets free of charge
from any of the Rainbow Girls,
they announce. The limit on the
price of the baskets is $2, they
state.

Serving as best man for his
brother was Don Ostrander of
Anderson, Calif. Ushers were
Kenneth Wham of Kinzua, Pat
Wright of Dufur, Rick Shaffer of
Pendleton, and Mickey Wright
of Fossil.
Wedding music was played by
Mrs. Robert Kelso who also ac
companied Miss Peggy Plank of
Fossil who sang "The Sweet
heart Tree", "More", and "The
Wedding Prayer".
For her daughter s wedding,
Mrs. Schroeder wore a beige
knit suit with beige and brown
accessories and a corsage of
green chrysanthemums. Mrs.
Ostrander, the groom's mother,
chose to wear a two piece green
suit with beige accessories and
her corsage was of yellow chrys
anthemums. Mrs. A. R. Schroe
der, grandmother of the bride,
wore blue with white chrysan
themums. Immediately after the ceremo
ny a reception was held in the
church annex where the center
of attraction was a beautiful
three-tiered cake, frosted in the
bride's colors. It was topped with
a bride and groom. The cake
was baked and decorated by
Mrs. Robert Misener of Fossil.
After the young couple had
cut and shared the first slices
of cake, it was cut and served
by Mrs. Edward Wham, aunt of
the bride. Conee was poured by
Mrs. Alan Guinn of Omak,
Wash., with the punch being
served bv Mrs. Tom Slinkard oi
Renton, Wash., sister oi the
groom.
Attending the gut table were
Miss Nancy Bushneii or Frine-
ville and Miss Alana Guinn of
Omak. Mrs. Bill McMinn had
charge of the guest book.
The reception was in charge
of Mrs. Allen Nistad, Mrs. Way
land Hyatt and Mrs. Homer
Bowman.
Leaving for a wedding trip to
the Oregon and Washington
beaches and to Omak, the bride
wore an emerald green knit
dress with white accessories and
the corsage center of her bri
dal bouquet.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Ostrander
are graduates of Wheeler High
school in Fossil and both at
tended Central Oregon College
in Bend. Mr. Ostander is now
employed by Klnzua Corpora
tion and they will make their
first home in Fossil.

While In Washington, the Far
ras saw many interesting sights,
and were fortunate to be able
to attend church In Washington
Cathedral, where all denomina
tions may gather together and
take communion. Mr. and Mrs.
Farra spent one day viewing the
Smithsonian Institute, and Mrs.
Farra comments that they didn't
see nearly half of It She also
said that It made them realize
that the best things In life are
free, as all the exhibits in the
Institute are free for everyone
to see.
Mr. and Mrs. Farra visited a
niece and her husband, Mr. and
Mrs. James Alphin at Hagers
town, Md., and toured Gettys
burg, Pa., and many historical
places of the Civil War.
The Farras returned from
their Eastern trip by Jet to Port
land from where they continued
home.

Jones enrolled at Eastern Ore-
eon College, where he Is in his
junior year, majoring in Gener
al Studies and Social Science.
