Quilt at Dance
(Held over from last week)

MONUMENT The MMM club
held its regular meeting last
Thursday afternoon at the home
of Mrs. Wave Jackson, with
Mrs. Phyllis Patzer as co-hostess.
When their meeting was
over, members exchanged Christ
mas gifts. The next meeting
will be January 19, at the home
of Mrs. Bert Settle where they
will tack a quilt. This will be
sold at the Gay '90 Dance on
January 21.
The American Legion and
Auxiliary held an open house
recently at their hall. Potluck
supper was held at 7:00, then
Santa Claus appeared to hand
out the exchange gifts, candy
and nuts. This was followed by
card games.
PFC Gene Hunt came home on
leave Wednesday evening, De
cember 14. He visited the LU
burn Hunt family and L. J.
Matteson family in Long Creek,
the Ellis Hunt family in Fox
and his mother, Mrs. Reeta
Hlnton. Dlanne and Alvy Hunt
In Monument. On Saturday, his
sister-in-law, Mrs. Ellis Hunt
and her mother, Mary Leasy,
took Gene to John Day where
he had dental work done.
Mrs. Grace Stlrrit spent a
few days In John Day with her
granddaughter, Miss Laura Lee
Shank.
The family of Dale Hunt
moved from the Page house in
to the house of Mr. and Mrs.
