I Am the Four-Leaf Clover
I am the four-leaf clover for many years I
have waved above the heads of thousands of
boys and girls in the United States of America.
I represent an organization formed to build
stronger characters in their youth. My leaves
symbolize the head, the heart, the hands and
health of the 4-H member.
Each member is to employ his head for clear
er thinking, to think for himself as an individ
ual an American citizen. Loyalty to his coun
try increases through many of my programs.
His hands are taught certain skills so they will
be of great importance as adults. My last leaf
is for health. The 4-H'er learns to keep his body
in condition so as to be a strong, healthy Amer
ican. As long as my members continue to be
lieve in me and respect me, I will wave bold and
true.
