Assembly, Rainbow Girls, which took second placo In the ro
deo parade for floats from juvenile organizations. lone's partic
ipation contributed a great deal to the success of the parade
and received many appreciative comments.

HERMISTON Chamber of Commerce won first or out of county
floats in the rodeo parade. Lovely girls rode on the colorful
gold and green float.

THE BOOK OF BOOKS The Bible was featured by Ruth chapter. Rainbow Girls, in their float in
the rodeo parade Saturday. Inscription described the Bible as the "No. 1 Best Seller." A Rain
bow centered the beautiful entry, and girls on the float included Kathy and Sue Melby, Linda

the float of the Condon Commercial club In the rodeo parade.
This beautiful float, with horn of plenty in front and sunburst
in the back, carried two pretty girls from the Gilliam county

THE PIGS were lively but the children proved livelier at the an
nual pig scramble at the Morrow county fair last Thursday
night In this photo, however, one little girl Is grabbing saw
dust after her intended catch eluded her. Boys in the back
ground are making a dash for other porkers.
ROGER BR ITT must be ono of the youngest winners of a maor
event in the hUtory of tho Morrow county rodeo. He won bull
riding against the top field of NRA cowboys over the week-end
and piled up enough points In the rodeo to capture the Orvllle
Cut ifortli trophy and a SSO canh award am Morrow county's All
Around. Prince Susan Llndstrom Is shown prenentlng him
with the trophy for all-around and trophy buckle from Ron
Leonnlq at the Wagon Wheel for tint In bull riding. Roqer Is
16 yoars ol aqe and will be a Junior at Hoppnor High this
fall. His paienl!i aro Mr. ana Mrs. i-mn bum wno came nere
from Madras two years ago. Roger has been riding since he
was a small boy.

ANOTHER MORROW COUNTY COWBOY who has tried for the
calf roping titlo for sevoral years and finally met with success
is Bob Stcagall, who won the Morrow county amateur call rop
ing championship at the rodeo ovor the week-end. Stegall was
second last year. Queen Erna Wlnchostor prosonts him with the
custom made saddlo glvon by Klnzua Corporation. Coincident
ally, Steagall. who is a cowboy only part time. Is omploycd
by Klnzua Corporation here. Stcaqall won both go-rounds of
the roping with a time of 19.9 the first day and 23.7 the sec

DR. S. E. (STAN) McGOUGH, Pendleton, had a busy day as
Judge of the open class horse show at the rodeo grounds Fri
