are the only living children
of William and Melissa Barrett.
Relatives traveled from wide
distances over Oregon and some
were present from Sacramento,
Calif.
The Bob Jones family has
been enjoying the visit of Mrs.
Jones' mother, Mrs. Kellers, of
Eugene. Mrs. Fellers returned to
her home Wednesday, August
17, with the Jones family.

At Pendleton Church
A nuptial mass at St. Mary's
Catholic church In Pendleton on
Saturday, August 6, united In
marriage Miss Sharon Ann Lun
dell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Hlchard Lundell of Pendleton,
and James Phillip Fletcher, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Glen D. Fletch
er, also of Pendleton.
Officiating at the 11:00 a.m.
double ring ceremony was the
Rev. A. R. Miller. Altar boys
were Michael Lundell and Mich
ael Carey.
Escorted to the altar by her
father, the bride wore a full
length gown of peau de sole
with chapel train, with swlss
applique edging the oval neck
line, bordering the front skirt
and extending around the train.
The shoulder length veil of il
lusion net was held by a double
coronet edged In seed pearls.
Her bridal bouquet was a large
orchid, surrounded by carna
tions and satin streamers.
The bride carried an 85-year-old
handkerchief owned by her
groom's great-grandmother. The
bridal gown and those worn by
the attendants were all fashion
ed bv the bride's mother.
Miss Michalle Lundell, sister
of the bride, attended as maid
of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
James Miller, sister of the
groom of Portland, and Mrs.
Thomas Elquron of Hermiston.
Cathv and Karen Morton served
as flower girls.
Attending the groom as best
man was Michael Kopetskl,
Pendleton. Ushers were Dick
Lundell, brother of the bride;
Howard Patton, brother of the
groom; Mike Budde, David
Budde and Victor Gehllng. all
of Pendleton. Dougle Morton
served as ring bearer.
Organist for the traditional
wedding music was Miss Sus
an Perry, who also accompa
nied Miss Ginger Brown, solo
ist. The couple greeted their wed
ding guests at a reception im
mediately following the cere
mony. In charge of reception ar
rangem c n t s were Mrs. V. H.
Gehling, Cathy Gehllng and
Mrs. James Farley. Dr. Margaret
McDevltt. aunt of the bride, was

Mrs. Otto Nooy greeted guests
at the door.

bride, and Mrs. Elmer Harr,
grandmother of the groom. As

traditional sharing of the first
piece by the bride and groom,
were Mrs. Paul Pettyjohn, aunt
of the bride, and Mrs. Morgan
Rust, aunt of the groom. As
sisting were Mrs. Leo Gorger
and Mrs. Don Budde, Pendleton.
At the punch bowl was Miss
Cathy Gehling. Helping around
the room were Bonnie Morgan,
cousin of the bride, Ginger
Brown. Betty Gilbert. Mrs. C. J.
Gilbert, Adrlenne Zephier, Del
ores Miltenberger, Mary T. Geh

Budde and Mrs. Murrey.
Following a wedding trip to
Wallowa Lake and Portland,
the new Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher
will reside In California, where
the groom will be stationed
temporarily at Fort Ord, tdaln
ing with the U. S. Army.
The Rev. and Mrs. Jackson E.
Gilliam, Ann, Peggy -and John,
of Great Falls, Montana, visited
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Gilliam over the week-end of
August 14. He is the Rector of
the Church of the Incarnation
in Great Falls.

arranging. For fall shows the
"mum", gladioli, and dahlia
were the most popular, while
daffodils and tulips were the
favorites for spring flower shows
and exhibit arranging.
The vacancy In the office of
treasurer was filled by the elect
ion of Ms. Omar Rletmann to
succeed herself.
The County Fair booth com
mittee, Mis. Rletmann, Mrs.WIII
lam Rawlins, Mrs. Gary Tuilis
and Mrs. Torn HuKton, will meet
lihortly to formulate plans and
arrangmints for the Garden
Club booth. Mrs. Rietmann asked
for volunteers to assist with the
painting.
