a prettv formal ceremony Sun
day afternoon, June 1S. In the
United Church of Christ.
The Reverend Walter B. Crow
ell of lone performed the doub
le ring ceremony in the pres
ence of friends and relatives.
Artistic arrangements of white
gladioli and laurel, flanked by
lighted tapers, decorated the
altar. Marking the bridal aisle
were white satin bows, centered
with pink rosebuds.
Escorted by her father, the
bride appeared in a floor-length
sheath gown of nylon organza
over misted taffeta with de
tachable full chapel train, de
tailed with bands of Imported
Swiss guipure lace on the bod
ice and skirt. Her full length
veil of imported silk Ulu s I o n
was held in place by a Dior
flower cluster. She carried a
cascade bouquet of miniature
white carnations, centered by a
white orchid.
Maid of honor was Miss Naj;
cy Pettyjohn, cousin of the
bride. She was attired in a
floor length gown of silk linen
in shade of peach blossom pink,
fashioned with fitted bodice
and a walking train. She wore
n matching headdress of a flat,
pink bow. and carried a cascade
of elegant pink carnations and
Ivy.
Best man was Sieve Hemphill,
Pendleton, a friend of the
groom. Ushers were Dick Sherer,
brother of the bride, and Mike
Spike, Echo, a friend of the
groom.
Candlelighters were Miss Bar
bara Palmer, a cousin of the
bride, dressed In a floor length
pink dress with matching head-
i dress, and Gordon German, bro
. trior of the groom.
Robyn Pierce, niece of the
bride, dressed in a floor length
gown of pink nylon chiffon,
trimmed with lace, was flower
girl.
Scott Sherer, nephew of the
bride, attired in white party
suit, served as ringbearer.
Playing the traditional wed
ding music was Mrs. Markham
Baker, organist, who also ac
companied Teresa Tucker when
she sang "Because" and 'The
Wedding Prayer."
