ing of pictures of their Hawalin
Grange Tour, taken in the fall

Going or. the tour with them,
and enjoying the party Saturday,
were Mr. and Mrs. Mary Reesing
and David of Echo. Other guists
were Mr- and Mrs. Berl Watten
burger of Echo, Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Wright. Mr. and Mrs.
William Rawlins, Tom, John,
Carole and Charley, and Mr. and
Mrs. Ned Clark, Patrick and Ma
tthew. On Sunday, those enjoying a
picnic and squirrel hunting with
the Barton Clarks were Earl
Poulsen, John Storey and Stanley
Kinnery of Portland. Both Mr.
Poulsen and Mr. Storey are con
fined to wheel chairs.
Stopping by at the Foster Col
lins home recently were Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Campbell of Lexington
and Miss Sylvia Severance of
California. The womenfolk are
cousins of Guy Chapin and they
livtd at Burton Valley many
years ago. Mrs. Campbell is a
former teacher of Mrs. Collins,
having taught at Camas Prairie.
Miss Severance is also a former
teacher and fissionary.
Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Har
old Stevens over Memorial Day
week-end were Mrs. Stevens' fa
ther, Aurthur Gammell, her bro
ther and sister-in-law. Mr. and
Mrs. Floyd Gammell. all of Ven
eta. Also Mr. and Mrs. Leo La
Mon of Aberdeen. Wn., Mrs. Cecil
Musgrove of Omak. Wn., and
Mrs. Mildied McDaniel of Stan
field. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stevens. Jo
jean and Johnny, were in Mon
ument last Monday to see Mr.
and Mrs. Stanley Musgrove. Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Brinda of Pendleton
visited at the Stevens' home
last Thursday.

and Keith spent a few days last
week at the Cecil McDaniel
home.

We. the undersigned petition
ers, constituting a majority of
the owners of land, respectfully
represent, that each of us is the
holder of title to lands of one
acre or more situated within the
boundaries hereinafter describ
ed, all being duly qualified
electors, under the law of the
State of Oregon for organizing
irrigation districts, and that the
lands within said boundaries
are situated in Morrow County,
Oregon, and are susceptible to
irrigation from a common source
or combined sources, and de
siring to provide for the con
struction of works for the Irri
gation of the same utilizing the
waters of the Columbia River
and other sources, for the pur
pose of Irrigation and the rec
lamation of said lands, do here
by petition your Honorable
Court as follows:
That it is the purpose of the
undersigned petitioners to orga
nize an Irrigation District under
the provisions of ORS 545, pro
viding for the organization and
management of Irrigation Dis
tricts. We hereby allege that it is
the purpose of the petitioners to
organize an irrigation district
comprising the here matter
bounded and described lands
under the provisions of said
Act.
That the boundaries of said
proposed district are hereby set
forth and particularly described
