We. the undersigned petition
ers, constituting a majority of
tho owners of land, respectfully
represent, that each of us Is tho
holder of title to lands of one
acre or more situated within the
boundaries hereinafter describ
ed, all being duly qualified
electors, under the law of the
State of OreRon for organizing
irrigation districts, and that the
lands within said boundaries
are situated In Morrow County,
Oregon, and are susceptible to
irrigation from a common source
or combined sources, and de
siring to provide for the con
struction of works for the irri
gation of the same utilising the
waters of the Columbia River
and other sources, for the pur
pose of Irrigation and the rec
lamation of said lands, do here
by petition your Honorable
Court as follows:

viding for the organization and

Court, a good and sufficient
bond in the sum of one-thousand
dollars, which is double the
amount of the probable cost of
organizing such district condit
ioned that the bondsmen will
pay all said costs in case said
organization be not effected.
WHEREFORE, your petitioners
pray that this Court approve the
said bond and that said irriga
tion district be organized under
the provisions of said Act, and
that this Court shall make and
enter an order, establishing and
defining the boundaries of such
irrigation district; determining
whether the requisite number
of owners of land within such
proposed district shall have pe
titioned for the formation there
of; and whether the petition and
notice of the time of presenta
tion thereof shall have been
duly published as in said Act
provided; and designating the
name of said district, that there
may be three directors for said
district, that this Court proceed
to call an election for the pur
poses above set forth, and es
tablish a convenient Dolling

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wright
were pleasantly surprised last
Sunday when her uncle, Rush
Crabtree, called to introduce his
new bride, the former Ora Mil
sap of Willows, Calif. The coup
le was married the 6th of May
in Reno, Nev.
Mr. Crabtree was around this
area quite a lot about seven
years ago when he lived in
Monument. They stayed until
Tuesday, and will make their
home in California.
Also visiting ut the Wright
home last week were Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh Jackson and family
of Portland. Kenny Wright was
home from BMCC for the week
end, accompanied by his room
mate. Dous Wilson of Mayville.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kramer
of Lake Oswego were also
week-end guests. '
Spending Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Sam McDaniel were
Mr, and Mrs. Elwood Hastings
and Steve of Klnzua. AIso visit
ing on Sunday were Mr. -and
Mrs. Ellis McRoberts and fam

Cooking Club Plans
To Entertain Mothers
A business meeting of the
Krispie Cookers 4-H club was
held May 4 at the home of our
leader, Mrs. Arbogast. We dis
cussed having a tea for our
mothers and decided to have it
June 1 at 4:00 p.m.
President Janet Gentry chose
committees to make cookies,
punch and tea. There will be
a couple of skits and a piano
solo for entertainment. ,
After the meeting we Judged
bowls, Cups, measuring spoons,
table settings, pans and aprons
for certain .Jobs. .
