any bearing on adoption, the
need only being to find a coup

As We A
run ounce
. . . the Sale of Phil's Pharmacy to Mr. and Mrs. Rod
Murray of Murrays Rcxall Drug, we wish to extend a
hearty "Thank You" to all our friends whose support
has meant so much to us during the 4!2 years we have
been in business in Heppner. These friends and their
many acts of kindness have been appreciated espec
ially since the illness of Mr. Myers. This illness has
made it necessary for us to quit business, and it was
our desire to sell to the Murrays, knowing that they will
best serve the people of this area and develop a com
plete store that will be a source of pride for all of Mor
row county.
Through the time we have been in business here,
the two drug stores have worked together to serve the
needs of the people, and friendly relations have exist
ed between the two businesses.
Again we thank all those whose business and friend
ship have meant so much to us, and we know they will
continue to enjoy doing business with Rod and Meg
Murray.
MR. AND MRS. JIM MYERS
As We Purchase
. . . Phil's Pharmacy, it is our intention to provide Mor
row county people with the very best drug store, con
tinuing to offer complete prescription and professional
service, as well as fill the needs in gift Jines and other
merchandise in our field and those not otherwise avail
able in this area.
We realize that this purchase means that, for at
least the present, there will be only one drug store in
Heppner. We pledge, though, that we will operate in
such a manner as to offer goods at prices which are
competitive with those elsewhere.
Prescription service will be combined to the one new
center in our main corner building, effective as of now.
We will plan to combine the space of Phil's Phar
macy with our present store and will make such alter
ations in the future. For the present, however, all serv
ices but prescriptions will be handled as usual at Phil's,
including the fountain service.
We have enjoyed working with Jim and Mary El
len Myers while they were in business here and sin
cerely regret the illness that has made it necessary for
them to sell.
We appreciate the support of the many who have
helped our business expand and consider their support
as a trust to provide the very best store for the area, to
offer goods at competitive prices, and to give the type
of service that will make it a pleasure for our custom
ers to trade here.
MR. AND MRS. ROD MURRAY
