A lifetime resident of the lone
community, Mrs. Grabill was
born January ZS. 1882, to Milton
and Mary K. (Spcrry) Hale, pio
neer prents who had crossed
the plains In a covered wagon
and settled in a small village
near the present town of lone.
She was one of 12 children.
three of whom are still living
A sister, Mrs. Charles Druse
lives In Yakima. W'n., one bro
ther, Clay Hale, resides In Wap
ato. and another brother, Guy
Hale, lives In Arizona.
Through the years she has
watched with interest develop
ments in and around lone and
recalls many historical Incidents
of the early county settlers.
She continues to enjoy good
health, and delights In visits
with her friends and family.
