Director Election Set Monday
An election for directors of the
cemetery district will be held
at the City Hall on Monday, De
cember 7. from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Albert Lindstrom, whose term is
expired is not seeking reelection
and Elwvnne Peck is resigning,
so two directors will be elected,
nno for a term of one year and
one for a term of three years.
Ed Buschke and Dean Hunt are
on the ballot.
Bill Akers spent part of the
vacation with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Berl Akers. He return
ed to Lewis and Clark early to
participate in a soccer game.
Mr and Mrs. Albert Lindstrom
spent the holidays in La Grande
visiting relatives. They had
Thanksgiving dinner with Mr.
and Mrs. David Turner and vis
ited Mrs. Lindstrom's brother,,
Ralph Turner, who was still hos
pitalized following recent surg
ery. Danny Akers received severe
cuts above his eye on Thanks
giving morning and was taken
to Heppner to a physician. Sev
eral stitches were required to
close the wound, made when he
tripped and fell over a sharp
cornered piece of sheet metal
near the Morrow County Grain
