Christmas Observance
At December Meeting
The Riley Munkers home will
be the scene of the Heppner
txiension Unit s Decemb e r
meeting, beginning at 10:30
a.m., Tuesday, December 8.
There will be a potluck dinner
at noon.
A holiday atmosphere will be
enhanced with a gift exchange
of gifts costing no more than
one dollar each.
December Is also the month
the unit remembers patients at
the State hospital In Pendleton
with gifts that may be chosen
from a multitude of welcome
articles. Mrs. It G. Watkins, unit
chairman, has a list of Rift sug
gest ions for anyone wishing to
i contact ner. it is requested that
the gifts not be wrapped as they
only have to be unwrapped for
inspection at the hospital, al
though one may include git't
wrapping supplies It they so de
sire. Members attending the meet
ing will be presented a candle
making demonstration by Mrs
Ray Drake.

day, December 5, at the church
parish hall, with a luncheon
being served from 11:30 a.m.
until 1:30 p.m. Charge for the
luncheon will be $1.00 for adults
and $.50 for children, with mer
chants and families extended a
special invitation.
Many tables will be attrac
tively laden witih a multitude of
nomecraited needlework items,
homemade candy and baked
foods, priced reasonably for
Ideal Christmas giving. The
tooths will be open from 11:30
a.m. until late In the afternoon.
